A little about me

I am a qualified integrative psychotherapist with previous experience of working in an NHS and a university setting.

I work collaboratively with each client using a selection of therapeutic methods to find the best, most effective way of working for them.

I understand that each person will bring their own unique story and that not every way of working will suit each person.

I am therefore always flexible in my approach and will always create a safe, none judgemental and confidential space, helping clients to explore their feelings, thoughts and issues they are currently facing.

I work with adults and young people 17+, who come to see me about anxiety, panic attacks, stress, trauma, relationship issues, difficulties at work, identity, low confidence, bereavement, depression, issues stemming from neurodiversity and people seeking personal development.

Face to Face therapy in Ilkley.

All in-person sessions will be conducted from the private and comfortable, Grove Therapy Practice in Ilkley, West Yorkshire.

Find acceptance, psychological flexibility and self-compassion.

Sometimes the most simple goals are the hardest to achieve.

But through therapy, people can become more resilient, compassionate and fulfilled.

Investing time in your wellbeing.

Investing time in yourself may seem overly self indulgent but focusing on self-care and being the best you, can improve your relationships, your physical health, and your mental health.

You might still be wondering…

How Do Online Therapy Sessions Work?

Online counselling and psychotherapy works the same as face to face, but can be conducted from the comfort of your own home, or remotely, in some other place.

I do ask however, that you still find a quiet, comfortable space, where you feel you can talk freely, without interruptions. As well as having a device, capable of video calling, connected to a reliable internet connection.

If you have any further questions about online therapy, drop me a message.

Do Talking Therapies Help?

Research has proven, talking therapies can create lasting neurological change in people experiencing relationship and mental health difficulties. However, talking therapies aren’t for everyone, but if you don’t try, you’ll never know if they are right for you.

How Long Does Therapy Take?

Each therapy session is 50 minutes long.

How long therapy takes to work, really depends on the person and why they have decided to come to therapy.

Some clients feel the benefits of a single session. Others continue to have therapy once a week for years. Most tend to find between 6 – 12  consecutive sessions, once a week, useful to move towards achieving their goals.

Usually the number of sessions required is agreed with you at the first meeting. This, of course, can be reviewed at any point during the process.
